Barack Obama has unveiled a new website, called "McLobbyist". It details all the lobbyist connections that McCain has. And lemme tell you: there's big oil, but there ain't no such thing as "big change", and there ain't no such thing as "change" if McCain is elected.
I'm positively GIDDY. We finally have a Presidential candidate willing to go on the offensive. The GOP always uses those online gimmicks (See: BarackBook. I won't link it because it's absolutely ridiculous and race-baiting to a great degree) but we never fight fire with fire.
That was, until we nominated Senator Barack Obama of Illinois to take the Democrats to the promised land.
Update: Please e-mail this Web site to all of your friends. This might not get any attention in the mainstream press, but then again, if we had to rely on the mainstream press, we would have never had Obama as our nominee. Bring it back to the grassroots!
What does a lobbyist controlled McCain-Palin ticket mean for you? It means lobbyists come first. On jobs, health care, energy, America’s standing in the world — lobbyists pay big bucks to make sure their special interests come first. And time and time again, McCain has given lobbyists what they paid for.
POW! This synthesizes the issue of lobbyists more quickly than I've ever seen anyone do it. I've read entire books on the faults of lobbying but this blurb does it all.
The page, which can be found, here also includes a page on Sarah Palin.
What do I like most about the Web site is that it focuses back on McCain. Teflon Sarah has been pummeled and it's only helped them. Bring the debate back to its simplicity: do you really want a person who is surrounded by lobbyists in the White House? Who IS he going to work for?
And who would you rather have, a person with good and fresh ideas helped by someone with a ton of experience or a person with bad and old ideas helped by someone who was the mayor of a town under 10,000 just TWO years ago? The choice is simple.
When the debate raged between the kool-aid drinkers saying nothing was wrong and the chicken littles thinking the world was falling down on them, I was honestly a chicken little. But that was before. I was a chicken little because I've been trained to expect the worst, to expect limp responses instead of forceful attacks.
It's all different now.
McLobbyists. Look--the sky isn't falling. It's blue and clear and I can see for miles.
