Half of these quotes were embarrassingly wrong

Relic of the past George Will, Jay Carney and Claire Shipman talk about what President-Elect McCain will do now that the election is over. Paul Begala remembers when he approached the Kerry campaign about getting tough with the gop, sticking to one message and being relentless with it, and how they ignored him.

NOTABLES -
- Bob Schieffer authors a new book: Bob Schieffer's America
- A McCain economic advisor says he'll have to raise taxes. Whiners.
- Mary Cheney fights to defeat the California gay marraige ban.
- ThinkProgress takes up McCain's challenge to find any position he has flipflopped on. It's really an unfair fight.
- HEROES season premiere is 9/29. Love that show.

First things first.
For the first time in my life, a brilliant, beautiful, witty, fearlessly progressive, openly gay woman is hosting her own cable news show. And she rocks!

Joe Klein wipes his ass with neoconservatives, leaving them broken, beaten and scarred:
It's been really enjoyable watching the neoconservatives splash and play in the mud and defecation of the McCain campaign.
Good stuff, Joe. Keep it up.

MCCAIN'S TALL TALES, EXAGGERATIONS & TRUTHINESS:
It started snowballing with Tracy Flick Sarah Palin repeating the lie that she was against the bridge to nowhere.
Rachel Maddow was the first to call out (by name) the McCain Campaign LIES.
Culminating in the NYT calling out the McCain campaign's LIES.
Other things McCain LIED about this summer:
- His health care destruction plan
- Pentagon weapons systems
- Not raising your taxes
- His shifting position on embryonic stem cell research
- Those awesome Alaskan earmarks the former Wasilla mayor requested
- And so on....
McSame's campaign openly admits they don't give a crap if the media calls them out for their LIES.
They just wanna win, so no amount of traditional media whining will pierce the bubble of LIES McCain has put himself in.
Obama calling it what it is too:
The new LIAR meme will haunt McSame whenever they let him near a reporter with a mic.
