Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild made what some would call a "gaffe" today when she reffered to rural voters as "rednecks" today on CNN.
For those of you who don't know her, Lady de Rothschild is a former Clinton supporter who jumped ship to support John McCain's campaign
According to an interview with her in NY Magazine, she is a mega communications mogul, married to British banking scion Sir Evelyn de Rothschild.
The Wall Street Journal calls her one of America's leading socialites.
In an interview with the London Times, she stated that She is not impressed by Barack Obama and doubts he will reach the White House. "My loyalty is to the Democrats winning. Barack Obama is going to have a serious problem getting elected, for good reason.
So instead of trying to help her party's candidate, what does she do?
She calls him elitist.
Yes, someone who spends her time travelling between Manhatten and London just called Barack Obama "elitist."
And just to twist the knife a little more, she calls out rural small town voters as well - as rednecks.
I'm really liking this new McCain surrogate. She's a perfect addition to their out of touch horror fest.
At this rate, we'll be seeing Jeff Skilling and Dennis Kozlowski from Tyco speak up for McCain on the economy.
