While the Palin Drama continues, Obama has hit the 50% line on both Gallup and Rasmussen. On polls ranging from 08/29 through 9/01 on RealClearPolitics, not a single poll has Obama at less than 48%.
What went wrong for the McCain bunch? For one, McCain.
Dates : 08/30 - 09/01
Gallup :
Obama : 50
McCain : 42
Rasmussen
Obama : 51
McCain : 45
The above are the most recent polls. To note is that, Palin just got introduced Friday, and if the news reports, and the volume of controversy are anything to go by, Familiarity does breed contempt, and superfast at that. So, stay on line for polling data the next three days.
Interesting stat from Rasmussen :
Obama support among Democrats swells to 85% versus McCain's support among Republicans of 86%. But we all know how many of each there are.
Interesting stat from Gallup :
Undecideds number lowest since June, at 8%. Does that mean undecideds are deciding? Or that more people are deciding than undeciding?
