When I listen to Barack, I'm struck by how thoughtful and intelligent his comments are. He sounds like a Harvard Professor. But a presidential campaign is not a university lecture. It is a battle for attention, leading to action in the voting booth.
I remember how Bill Clinton continued to simplify and condense his message through his presidential campaigns. Toward the end, he had 4 or 5 hard hitting sentences that encapsulated his arguements on why we should vote for him over his opponent. Professor Barack needs to do this as well. Rather that deliberately site the many facets of an issue, he needs to get to the zingers. For instance: McCain spent his whole career opposing regulation of the financial markets. The American people were lied to when we entered a war of choice. Saddaam had nothing to do with 911 and we are less safe today because we went to war based on that lie. McCain/Palin would fight to end Roe vs. Wade. McCain's campaign is run by lobbyists who represent corporations who get rich from his policies on war, defense, the economy etc. In short, condense the zingers and repeat them over and over again, until they become part of the public consciousness. That's the way to combat the Republicans and to win in November. Bill Clinton showed the way.
