"I don't believe in money, fortune, fame -- all dirty lies."
- from Sean Bonniwell's (The Music Machine) version of "Hey Joe"
We're all sick to death of all those filthy lies that spew from the mouths of McDastardly and his pal, in pursuit of their vainglorious goal of world dominion. They seem to think no one will catch them and even if they are caught, hey so what? That's not what they meant to say! They and their minions dodge questions that are designed to shed light on their mendacity.
This is my first diary, and probably should be a comment instead. But I am so angry that I have to spend time fact-checking every sentence that they utter, because I KNOW it's a G.D. lie. It's so unfair.
Sure, there's no such thing as absolute "truth." Things are not that simple. But the outright falsehoods I hear every day are extremely upsetting since I feel so powerless to fight them.
Sure, we can post facts that contradict what they say, and it probably DOES do some good. But is it enough? Can you change a closed mind? Some say that the rigid believers become more firm in their beliefs if you point out that they're wrong. Are they getting more entrenched and more determined to fight for their "leaders?"
In the meantime, we make ourselves crazy just trying to prove Obama said the sky is blue, not red, as when they misrepresent his record.
Just had to vent -- don't know if I can handle another 40 days of this crap.
