I did not support Hillary Clinton in the Primary nor have I always found her actions to be in the best interest of the Democratic Party during the primary.
Since then? She has given, in my opinion, 100% but her husband appears to be on track to do as much damage as he can to the Democratic nominee and all I hear from the party are crickets.....Where is the outrage? Where are the surrogates asking why? If this had been ANYONE else the rage would have been front page news.
I realize that to many Bill Clinton is a beloved figure who lead this country and set it on a track of prosperity. I realize that he is a great speaker and understands the middle class, upper class and the poor and is able to connect with them. I know of his short comings but this is not the time or place to go back to that black spot of history.
We need to deal with his actions of late. Because people listen to him and his words carry weight we can no longer sit by and allow him a free pass...much like this country has done for John McCain simply because he was held captive when his plane was shot down.
He started last week at ABC with this:

Bill Clinton: McCain 'A Great Man'; Praises Wife's, Not Obama's Economic Plan
ABC News' Jennifer Parker reports: Former President Bill Clinton has largely kept himself out of the public eye since his wife lost the Democratic primary to Barack Obama.
However in a rare television interview tonight, the former president called Republican presidential candidate John McCain "a great man" and praised GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as an "instinctively effective candidate."
On a day when Obama sought to convince voters that he's best able to handle the economic crisis, the former president said it was his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., who gave today "the most detailed position" on what to do about the financial crisis.
In an interview with CNBC's Maria Bartiromo, Clinton, who has tried to put to rest rumors of tensions between himself and Obama said, "I've never concealed my admiration and affection for Sen. McCain. I think he's a great man.
"But, I think, on the issues that matter to our future, the Obama-Biden team is, is more right," Clinton said of the Democratic ticket. "And I believe they're gonna win. But, I think that it will be competitive until the end."
A ringing endorsement it wasn't.
This man is suppose to be supporting a Democratic nominee for President. He has told us, at the convention and in print that he would do so. This is not endorsement.
Yesterday he appeared on the View and this is what he gave to the Democratics who have worked so long and hard to defeat John McCain.
Clinton said McCain was instrumental his administration's normalizing relations with Vietnam and said he had proven his worth to the American people.
"The American people, for good and sufficient reasons, admire him," Clinton said of McCain. "He's given something in life the rest of us can't match."
When this was reported at ABC here are some of the responses.
And there you have it ... Bill just endorsed John McCain.

And
sounds like Bill Clinton is subotaging the Obama bid for the white house. Pity he gives such back stabs on own party candidate. Although on the surface what he said was true and would have been appropriate post election, politically this is simply not the time and venue to say so. As a politician, he knows better than anyone. He's rocking the democrat boat.

There were many others but this is a sample (with names removed) of the responses of Democrats who are upset with his actions.
If say a Senator from ANY state had stated any of the above opinions? The Party would have tarred and feathered them. Quickly. Yet we remain quiet when it is Bill Clinton....and the really sad tag to history that Bill is spending here? He knows it. He knows we will give him a pass. The only group to stand up to Bill Clinton in this election? as a whole? has been the African American community when the majority of them gave their support to Senator Obama. The rest of us? We look the other way or gripe to our family and friends but do not dare come forward and take him to task.
Once again there is no reprecussion for Bill Clintons damaging actions.
Why?
