From the outset no one understood what Connor saw in Georgia. She had recently been fired after an accusation of embezzlement, but was able to avoid criminal consequences by repaying the missing funds. Georgia explained to Conner that it was all a misunderstanding, he believed her.
Later, when Georgia accidentally become pregnant the first time Conner said he wanted the baby, but he didn't want to marry. Georgia had an abortion rather than give birth unmarried. A few months later Georgia accidentally became pregnant a second time, so Conner married her. After Georgia's fourth accidental pregnancy in as many years Conner got a vasectomy. Conner still doesn't understand how the pill was even marketed to prevent pregnancy, since it works so poorly.
Now a married father of three, Conner decided to do what he could to make the relationship work; Georgia, not so much. Georgia had a nasty spending addiction which forced them into bankruptcy. She was a great liar so she was able to get then lose many good jobs, but she told Conner it was never her fault. Naturally, he had no doubt.
Over the years, to keep her out of trouble and for the sake of the kids, Conner covered the bad checks Georgia would pass. She would explain that she couldn't balance the check book.
Conner knew Georgia would never cheat on him but he couldn't understand how he contracted gonorrhea six years into their marriage, he had a moment of doubt but Georgia had an answer. Georgia told Conner that the infection must have been dormant during the intervening years and promised she had been faithful. He then knew is doubt was misplaced and felt guilty about wavering.
Last week Georgia told Conner that she'd read vasectomy causes prostrate cancer, so to protect his health Conner should have his vasectomy reversed. Georgia explained that there are new developments in birth control which are much more effective than those they used before his surgery, so there is no risk for another pregnancy. Conner is so touched by Georgia's concern for his health that he has scheduled the surgery.
