So today John McCain, in an effort to remain relevant, has decided he should suspend his campaign to return to Washington to "help" find a solution to the crises.
He hasn't shown up since, ummm..March? April?? But now this is urgent? Please.
But on to my point......
Why is the media, and everyone else (mainly the media though) gong gaga over McCain's annou comment that he is suspending his campaign to deal with the crisis? This is now the SECOND time that McCain has pulled this same act.
Today we saw this:
But we have seen it (sort of) before.
What you say? When did he ever do this before? Do you remember this:
Yes. "We're going to suspend most of our activities tomorrow..."
Now, I'm not saying that hurricane Gustav wasn't serious. I'm not saying that the current financial crisis isn't serious.
All I'm saying is that John McCain's first reaction when his poll numbers are down and things don't look good for him, he seems to find some way to try to make it into a more dramatic event.
