I'm sure we all have our favorite moments, but mine was this exchange about the bailout plan.
Palin: The interesting thing in the last couple of days that I have seen is that Americans are waiting to see what John McCain will do on this proposal. They're not waiting to see what Barack Obama is going to do. Is he going to do this [holds finger in air] and see what way the political wind's blowing? They're waiting to see if John McCain will be able to see these amendments implemented in Paulson's proposal.
Couric: But polls have shown that Sen. Obama has actually gotten a boost as a result of this latest crisis, with more people feeling that he can handle the situation better than John McCain.
Palin: I'm not looking at poll numbers.
Taking it apart,
The interesting thing in the last couple of days that I have seen is that Americans are waiting to see what John McCain will do on this proposal.
Obviously, that's a pre-fed line for her. Anyone with a minimal acquaintance with reality knows nobody is waiting for Mr. I Don't Know Much About Fundamentals' input on this.
They're not waiting to see what Barack Obama is going to do. Is he going to do this [holds finger in air] and see what way the political wind's blowing?
What a joke for Mrs. Bridge Flip Flopper to call anybody else out on political opportunism. Her VP cram session tutors must have had a good laugh with that line.
Couric: But polls have shown that Sen. Obama has actually gotten a boost as a result of this latest crisis, with more people feeling that he can handle the situation better than John McCain.
Couric gives the obvious rejoinder: Hello, earth to Palin, there is reality and then there's everything you say.
I'm not looking at poll numbers.
Yeah, I'm sure it's too painful for you lately, and not to mention that the polls refute your stupid speechwriters' stump speech quality line.
/very annoyed at McCain's desperate "country last" reckless gamble of a VP choice
{p.s. was going to make longer poll, but can't edit it now, sorry)
