As of 9:00 AM PDT today (Thurs. 9/25), John McCain's website (http://www.johnmccain.com) still has the same three fundraising links that it had yesterday. Yesterday, McCain (as reported by Fox News--almost as close to the source as you can get) said he was going to stop advertising and fundraising today, and the latest article from Fox News confirms that the campaign had been suspended as of this morning...

From Fox News...
On Wednesday, the McCain campaign said the Arizona senator was going to drop off the campaign trail, suspend ads and stop fundraising while he works with others lawmakers on a compromise package. McCain also asked the Presidential Debate Commission to postpone its first debate on Friday.
However, on McCain's website, there are not one or even two...but THREE links to his fundraising. Two of the three links go to his "Compliance Fund" -- read more about what a "Compliance Fund" is here: http://www.slate.com/... -- while the other link goes to his general fund. (Note that one of the links changes while you're in the site and goes to phone banking links, etc.--well, that looks like a campaign in action to me too.)
Anyway, it's possible that he's suspended his campaign so much that he simply told his webmasters to go home. But--if I were suspending a campaign (for whatever reason), I'd make sure to put up a big "Thanks for all your kind help over the many months" or something like that (even if I had to do it myself--though I won't go into that territory now!!!).
So...there you have it! The campaign is not really suspended, with the fundraising and the ways to take action (phone-banking, "recruit friends", etc.)...and this is just one hint that it's really just all a ploy...
