Proving again why he, Jack Cafferty and Roland Martin are the only relevant figures on CNN (and no people, that list will never include Campbell "No Bias, No Bull, But most importantly, I need ratings fast at your dispense" Brown), Jeffrey Toobin once again shut up Wolf Blitzer (and Gloria Borger) with the truth instead of the "central" BS plaguing the network.
(And of course, thank TPM again for their brilliance.)
Can I just quarrel with the premise of this, who says he suspended his campaign, he didn't suspend his campaign, he's been campaigning all day. He gave a speech in New York, he's giving interviews all night,he's raising money, his surrogates are attacking Barack Obama, I think this is posturing of being apolitical, and frankly, I think we (the media) are being kind of gullible in falling for it. He didn't stop his campaign, he's campaigning.
As the lying poser that is Blitzer and nutty nut Stephan Hayes tried to sway the viewer into a sense of "balance" (certified bulls---), that didn't stop the lawyer and Harvard Law Grad for continuing to tell it like it is.
He didn't pull his ad's down, his ad's have been on. He's done exactly what Obama has done all day, and Obama admits his campaigning. I don't see why we should try anything different from what he is doing from what Obama is doing."
Later in the section, he gets Hayes to admit that McCain is in fact, CAMPAIGNING.
But any rational, even slightly common sensical person could see the dishonest and untrustworthy BS Mccain is doing.
And only Cafferty, Martn, and now consistently Toobin (though he has always been a bright guy and one of the pure ones on at network far from that) are calling McShitty's campaign on the pathetic network that is neo-CNN.
From TWD, peace.
Comment Shoutout#1- From Newdem1960, I didn't mention Donna Brazile. Now I love Donna, but she is a Democratic strategist, and I meant to talk about just the supposed to be "neutral" journalist on the network. However, she definitely matters to me. And sometimes, through I believe he came on the Kos to promote his book more than he did for the greater cause, Paul Begala is generally a nice guy when he doesn't lie.)
Also, a great post by Vertwilliger Van Johnson, I aso really appreciate Christine Annapour, who doesn't put herself in the BS and just does her job. Thumbs up to her as well.
Update #2:You know, how does the Republican party still exist right now? I know that is an open ended question full with snarky responses ready and set to be launched, but this is why they all need to be replaced They really don't care for their country, just for themselves. Conservative, Moderate, it doesn't matter. Because after bailing out of the bailout (and that of course includes The Shrub and nowhere to be found Dick Vader), and doing this just for their and McShitty'S benefits, they all have got to go. I am once again humbled to be on the rec'd list.
David Letterman Update: He is still pissed at McCain. And rightfully so.
Comment Shoutout#2- A tremendous, thoughtful "diatribe" here from Pursang:
McCain is just another in a long line of Republican cowards like our illustrious leader George W. Bush. He's afraid to debate Obama and is also looking for any way possible to derail the debacle that would be a Biden/Palin debate.
I'm also livid about McCain pulling this I'm an old Navy man and I know when it's time for General Quarters, All Hands on Deck crap. Naval Aviators have nothing in common with real sailors. If they're even onboard a carrier vice shoreside NAS they're there as guests not sailors. They wouldn't know GQ and Shipboard Damage Control to save their own lives so please don't insult me that you know what to do in an emergency McCain. Don't insult me like that ass did by assuming what the yellow down his back McCain did when telling his staff he was suspending his campaign. He was hiding like a little child who didn't do his homework or didn't study for a test. Little Johnny didn't study for the debate so he's claiming he has a tummy ache and can't debate.
As far as Blitzer and that first tool they had on in that first segment, could it be any clearer that they had an agenda with that piece? McCain isn't a hero and I'm of the belief he never was. A hero does something extraordinary to save lives or defeat the enemy. He got shot down and was taken prisoner. He survived the ordeal but history has shown that more because his captors knew who his Grandfather and Father was than anything else. So he's a hero, just for surviving what thousands of others have had to survive? BS pure and simple.
If he wants to be hero actually make the country your first priority you coward. Release your complete medical record, your complete military record, and let us decide if you're a hero as well as healthy enough to serve as president.
I'm so livid over McCain making a joke of this election and this economic meltdown that I can barely speak coherently. At the grocery store tonight a woman asked me if I thought the debate would go on and I started talking and the longer I talked the madder I got to a point where I could barely get anything out. Finally she smiled at me and just shook her head in agreement I believe. I think she knew exactly how I felt and it should be the way all American should feel right now. The hell with McCain and the hell with Republican like Boehner and the rest of the traitors of the GOP.
Sorry for the long winded diatribe, I'll sign off for now and wish for happier days in the future.
John McCain will do whatever's best for John McCain; always has and always will.
