After the Bush/Kerry 'suspicious lump' debate back in 2004 we should seriously consider the potential for a bug in Palin's ear next Thursday. There could very easily be a team off-site reacting and feeding her answers live. Though they have been playing the lowering Palin's expectations game with the press, the Rovian GOP snow(job)machine is not one to take a chance at a loss.
That said, since her hair has been changing styles by the day, from down to updo, to down again, her hair could easily conceal a receiver like this one, if worn 'down' and, quite possibly, even if she chooses to wear it 'up'.
She clearly has not been wearing one for the Gibson/Kouric interviews . . . and most certainly didn't need one for the Hannity interview . . . which was probably really 4 hours long, and Hannitized for TV, but I digress . . .
On the upside, since Obama picked Joe Biden, I still feel confident that we will be happy with the results. If the dems had the need to have a team feeding information to a candidate via a hidden ear piece, Joe Biden would most assuredly be the one at the microphone. But, of course, Barack didn't pick a know-nothing political neophyte that looked good on camera.
