Now that the fun is over and conservatives are saying outloud what we've been saying all along: it's time for Sarah Palin to go back to Alaska and face the piper for all of her unethical behavior as governor and leave running the country to serious, thinking and qualified adults. Join me below.
First it was Paris, then Sarah and now then the GOP's stunt man goes back to Washington and makes a mess. All of this to distract all of us from what is really going on this week away from Washington with Rick Davis and Sarah Palin. We have witnessed a human meltdown on television over the last two weeks. It's not that he lies. He simply has no memory bank nor moral compass to guide him. His life story is filled with examples of his erratic, sometimes, unethical behavior. This guy is unfit to president.
Back to Palin. The base of the Republican party was excited about the idea of a Sarah Palin. The actual Sarah Palin has not delivered and McCain is working to clean up her record in Alaska and clean up behind her when she opens her mouth in interviews. Her performance in interviews has been widely trashed. Her speed-dating at the UN was botched. One foreign leader actually flirted with her, potentially redefining foreign relations. Yes, that's what we need. And no one's talking about the tabloid outing of Palin's lover or the witch hunter at her church. Then it leaked today that she is awful in debate prep and doesn't have a clue.
McCain's stunt this week was all about Palin. Not the economy. Palin. He needed to change to subject again. But, this time, the gambler has run out of luck. McCain threw the long ball to Palin and she's been scoring for Obama ever since.
Conservative columnist Kathleen Parker was nice in her calls today for Palin to drop out. We don't need to be. Sarah Palin has been a disaster to the McCain campaign and to women young and old. She is not the role model the Republicans or America had hoped for. Too many questions and we can't quite get an intelligent, coherent answer to any of them.
Alaskans can't wait for her to come home because pay back will be a bitch for her. Since she's been in the world spotlight, she has lied about her positions and Alaskans are pissed. She won't be re-elected in Alaska and will have to live out her days shooting moose and gutting fish.
With McCain, Republicans wanted a maverick. All they got was a campaign to no where.
Take the poll.
