I have a funny feeling that Sarah Palin is on her way out and Rudy Giuliani may be on his way in.
I believe that once McCain saw how bad she was, he decided to replace her. However, he decided to keep her for a little while as a tool to collect the big bucks from the Gop base. Now that the base has given him what he needs, it's time for McCain the Maverick to dump her.
Enter, Rudy Giuliani. By bringing in Rudy, McCain can try to pick up some pro-choice voters and get another shot at a share of Hillary supporters, using his New York connection.
Follow me for a bit more.....
Mississippi hosted the debates last night. For the Democratic ticket, immediately after the debates, Joe Biden was right there for his running mate. He was right where he needed to be and it worked out perfect. On the Republican side, Sarah Palin was at a closed door session, invited guests only, at a bar in Philadelphia. She did not get to reinforce her running mate at all as she was kept on a very tight leash.
The slack had to be picked up somewhere since this was an emergency situation, who better to call, than 911 Giuliani. And who better to bring it about: Sean Hannity & Fox News, at your service.
GIULIANI: I thought John scored a very big victory here. One way to judge a debate is who's on offense, who's on defense. Eight times Senator Barack Obama began his answer by saying, "Senator McCain, you're right."
HANNITY: We actually have -- the McCain campaign came out with an ad already. You want to see the ad?
GIULIANI: And, you know, the reason -- and how about five times Senator McCain had to say to him, "Well, you just don't understand."
BLAH BLAH BLAH
Now I ask you, was Rudy the best after-debate spokesman McCain could get? The choice was just awful. Unless.....he is to replace Palin.
It wouldn't look too godawful if Rudy ended up replacing Palin this week. Therefore, I believe Biden will be debating Rudy on Thursday night. McCain doesn't want to break the news until the last minute so that Biden doesn't think he has to study for it. McCain learned a lot of sneaky tricks in his 5-1/2 year POW status.
Oh, wait.......this could not be good for McCain though:
New York: September 26, 2008: A former aide to Rudy Giuliani is out of prison and attacking the ex-mayor's ethics, saying he was ordered to help Giuliani's then-girlfriend get a below-market rent apartment.
Russell Harding, who got five years for embezzling more than $400,000 in city funds and downloading child pornography onto his computer, claims on his Website that Giuliani's two terms as mayor were marked by ethical breaches.
Of course Giuliani spokeswoman Sunny Mindel said the allegations are false and untrue.

Of course,, I don't see how Rudy can really help McCain, seeing that he is so busy trying to drum up business to get a piece of the $700B Bailout:
In the midst of the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, former Mayor Rudy Giuliani has begun drumming up business, positioning his law firm to advise corporate clients on how to profit from the government's $700 billion bailout.
Bracewell & Giuliani LLP announced it has formed a corporate task force to advise "financial institutions, private investment funds, institutional investors and other market participants" on the costly package.
"Our team of former government officials and experienced attorneys in the fields of legislation, enforcement and finance are equipped to guide institutions in this quickly evolving and complex environment," Giuliani said.
