Governor Palin is becoming a negative for McCain, as a prime example of his poor judgment. More & more, her readiness is being questioned.¹
I'd like create something to encourage donations to Obama or possibly any OrangetoBlue candidate, while bringing attention to the empty rhetoric of Palin & the McCain ticket. (props to Susan G & IBM & socratic)
Q1: How can this donation/highlighting best be accomplished?
- Donation in exchange for online multiplayer Buzzword Bingo (a random buzzword, e.g., "straight talk," "maverick," or "reformer" in each square & users click to mark they're said. Prizes TBD.)
- Donation for randomly generated Buzzword Bingo card to be printed.
- Donation per utterance of a word/phrase, with a tally of which are said, to be tracked live on a website.
- Just leave it to DKers to make a thread & some people can comment what word & how much.
Q2: What's a buzzword, talking point, or other 'verbage' Palin will say?
I know people do this informally on DK, but I'd like to spread it to others not on here, and/or bring in new people...
Buzzwords & talking points are aimed at low-info voters too busy or preoccupied to focus on the campaign, & are a part of every campaign; obviously Obama & crew have them too ("Change" "10 million a month" etc.) However, buzzwords & talking points should at least attempt an accurate snapshot of a campaign's platform. McCain and Palins' do not.

1.) "Conservatives Begin Questioning Palin’s Heft" was a FOX News Top Story a couple hours ago & has since been taken down. It's still available here.
I don't think Palin's an idiot, just out of her depth.(at least she forms a complete sentence in simplifying Jewish/Muslim animosity into good guys vs. bad guys) Thus, buzzwords and empty talking points will make up the majority, if not the entirety, of what she says.
