So John McCain is trying to pretend that Barack Obama has actually given up tactical information to the terrorists by Obama's general statement that if there was reliable intelligence about high-value targets in Pakistan, a la Osama Bin Laden, that he (Obama) might have to act and that strike without asking the Pakistani government.
In his their debate last Friday, McCain tried to make a big stink about it again, in his typically obnoxious, condescending, charm-free best, acting as if Obama had blown the cover on a delicate military operation in progress, rather than talking about general policy and strategy -- as McCain does regularly. Obama had one of his more pointed defenses of the night when he needled McCain for his bellicose statements, including the grotesque "Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran" moment of shame.
McCain is either playacting that he doesn't understand the simple difference between a general strategy and a specific tactical operation, or... he genuinely doesn't get the distinction. In either case, the man is not fit to be President. He's either a revolting liar, or too dumb to be trusted, or (my choice) both.
So...
Along comes the Celebrity Princess from Alaska, Sarah Palin, and tries to wing it for a few weeks -- mostly avoiding having to speak in public, answer questions, or do ANYTHING other than get adored... And in the few times she does sit and answer questions, she tries to keep to RNC / Bush boilerplate. But every now and then, out of the incoherence, she SEEMS to offer a policy...
Including one on Pakistan that seems rather similar to what Barack Obama said (and what John McCain's actual position IS, by the way, when McCain's dumb-ass attempts at showing daylight between himself and Obama are exposed)...
Here George S. "confronts" cranky, angry old John McCain about Palin's statement:
Nasty, dyspetic old John McCain's defensiveness here shows that his lie has been exposed: that Obama is only saying what virtually every leader says about this situation. He continues the absolute, ridiculous-on-its-face bullshit that Obama has actually given away some imminent military operation, rather the obvious, which is that Obama is -- agree with him or not -- stating his general policy in regards to the shielding of Al-Qaeda in Pakistan and surrounding areas.
McCain says, in effect: Palin was only talking to a voter. So of course she wasn't telling the truth, come on!
Now watch as the dynamic duo of Crankshaft and the Celebrity Princess get "confronted" by the oh-so-vicious Katie Couric about the Pakistan, um, question:
They really are a charming twosome, aren't they? Whiny, nasty, paranoid, unable to take the simplest bit of responsibility for their own actions and statements, and 100% full of shit.
It will be a pleasure to watch them go down in crushing defeat. For this nauseating little exchange alone, i'm sending Barack Obama another $50.00 tonight.

UPDATE: The diary right above mine has a very good smackdown of McCain's naked hypocrisy and stupidity vis-a-vis Obama's Pakistan statement:
You don't announce your intention to attack.
Please check it out if you haven't already.
