What is the one thing that needs to crystallize out of the Palin affair? What hits the McCain brand right in the solar plexus, if it takes hold?
The fact that his judgment sucks.
This wraps up the memory failures, the disinhibition, the flip-flopping, the pandering, and probably other things, all in one tidy package. Bad judgment turns a maverick into a hothead. Bad judgment undermines the experience of someone who's had a lot of it. Bad judgment goes head-to-head with POW POW POW.
Yes, Palin is relevant. We need to fully grasp that she is W in drag -- a mob boss with just those skills needed to acquire and keep power for the benefit of the Family.
But in the end, I'm not sure there's single bigger issue than McCain's judgment -- which sucks.
The timing is perfect. Half a dozen articles and editorials are out today -- from the tradmed, with all the validation that that still entails -- pointing out that McCain's judgment sucks. And the fruit of McCain's sucky judgment will give her big speech tonight, and he'll give his own big speech tomorrow. Kossackstan can help step on his wheezy, creaky, saggy bounce.
Let's share-bomb McCain's judgment.
Below are DIGG and reddit links to articles and editorials pointing out that McCain's judgment sucks. Post links to other share sites in comments, and I'll update as they come in.
If you think this approach makes sense, (1) please click on these links, then (2) rec this diary.
This has a high probability of working. When rec'd diaries contain DIGG links -- in the body; in comments isn't enough -- then enough people click them to put that content on DIGG's front page. The traffic here at dailykos makes it happen. See, for example, Obama: "Back off", which got lots of attention at DIGG starting as soon as turneresq updated with the link.
We can see to it that most people who surf a share site in the next few days see a headline about how McCain's judgment sucks.
Let's make it McCain's Judgment Sucks Day.
