You had to know that someone would go down for the so-called Vetting process that did not happen.
As details of Sarah Palin’s shady past have come out over the last several days many Republicans have questioned the thoroughness of John McCain’s veep-vetting process. So it shouldn't be surprising that the campaign is now throwing the vetter under the bus. Arthur B. Culvahouse Jr. is soon to be a name you will be seeing more in the media.
link for another one down in a long line of people run over by McCain
As we can see the "white tornado" is truly a distructive candidate. His own camp can not even vet someone properly. The McCain camp realizes now that they have to make up for this and they are beginning to blame Culvahouse. This is what happens when we elect a gambler. It could be a very frightening gamble to elect McCain. Unbelieveable. This is the least disciplined, most chaotic camp I have witnessed in the last 25 years plus. WOW
Apparenly Culvahouse was part of the Reagan Administration. Now we see where the culture war is coming from. I still believe that we need to be prepared since McCain had declared culture-war on the America people.
I do not want to go through another political cycle under attack from a bunch of rabid conservatives for my lifestyle.
We need to stick with someone STEADY AND READY TO LEAD.
UPDATE:
According to the WSJ
An American Lawyer article out today on the topic asks whether McCain’s timing may have made life difficult for Culvahouse and his team. McCain’s need for discretion and secrecy may have compounded problems. According to the WaPo, Culvahouse was chasing down last-minute information about Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty at the request of the campaign as late as last Thursday, the day McCain offered the job to Palin and she accepted. Culvahouse did not respond to a request for comment made by AmLaw, and did not immediately respond to a call placed by us.
It may just be a prediction but people are questioning Culvahouse.
Update II
Even Dan Quayle's vetter is asking
"How do you miss this stuff?" one lawyer with a few vetting notches on his belt asks. "Ask Bob Kimmitt, the deputy secretary of the Treasury and a Vietnam veteran, how he forgot to ask Dan Quayle what he did during the war! These things happen." (Quayle's service in the Indiana Army National Guard during the Vietnam War became a major issue during George H.W. Bush's 1988 presidential campaign.)
