Sarah Palin, by throwing insult after insult at Obama, has palinly (plainly) insulted the 80,000+ people who heard and cheered Barack Obama in Denver, as well as the 30+ million who watched on tv. Way to energize the people FOR Obama!
The Republicans, responsible for the mess this country is in, and no real solutions, have NOTHING else but insults.
The "Straight Talk Express" has officially become "The Insult Express", and it is headed to "NOWHERE", bridge or no bridge!
Here are just a few of Sarah Palin's insults (heavily mixed with lies):
"I guess a small-town mayor is sort of like a "community organizer," except that you have actual responsibilities."
(Nasty slam against hard-working community organizers everywhere who have helped so many people. During Obama's three years as the Developing Communities Project director, its staff grew from 1 to 13 and its annual budget grew from $70,000 to $400,000, with accomplishments including helping set up a job training program, a college preparatory tutoring program, and a tenants' rights organization).
"I've noticed a pattern with our opponent. Maybe you have, too. We've all heard his dramatic speeches before devoted followers.
(Another slam on his good speeches and large following. They have so much envy and bitter jealousy, it’s almost sad).
And there is much to like and admire about our opponent. But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate."
(A lie, Obama has authored several pieces of legislation. From Wikipedia:
- Obama cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act
- Obama introduced two initiatives bearing his name: "Lugar–Obama," which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons,
and
- the "Coburn–Obama Transparency Act," which authorized the establishment of www.USAspending.gov, a web search engine.
- Obama sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.
- In December 2006, President Bush signed into law the "Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act," marking the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor.
- In January 2007, Obama co-sponsored the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007.
- He introduced S. 453, a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections.
- Obama also introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007.
- Later in 2007, Obama sponsored an amendment to the Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges.
- He sponsored the "Iran Sanctions Enabling Act" supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran's oil and gas industry, and co-sponsored legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.
- Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children's Health Insurance Program providing one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries.
"But when the cloud of rhetoric has passed ... when the roar of the crowd fades away ... when the stadium lights go out, and those Styrofoam Greek columns are hauled back to some studio lot
(Wow are they upset about that big crowd and awesome setting with 84,000+ supporters)!
- what exactly is our opponent's plan? What does he actually seek to accomplish, after he's done turning back the waters and healing the planet?
(A blasphemous reference likening him to a false messiah/antichrist. Also a mockery of his).
The answer is to make government bigger ... take more of your money ... give you more orders from Washington ... and to reduce the strength of America in a dangerous world. America needs more energy ... our opponent is against producing it."
(Lies, lies ,and more lies - Obama will cut taxes for the middle class and only raise taxes on the rich. He also has a comprehensive energy plan that is not dependent on fossil fuels).
" In politics, there are some candidates who use change to promote their careers. And then there are those, like John McCain, who use their careers to promote change. They're the ones whose names appear on laws and landmark reforms, not just on buttons and banners, or on self-designed presidential seals."
(They sure are jealous of Obama’s well-run and popular campaign! And then she calls McCain a reformer, and not tied to special interests, but he’s received millions from big oil, etc. McCain's Big Oil Ties and McCain's Ties to Lobbyists Lying liar!)
"Among politicians, there is the idealism of high-flown speech-making, in which crowds are stirringly summoned to support great things. And then there is the idealism of those leaders, like John McCain, who actually do great things. They're the ones who are good for more than talk ... the ones we have always been able to count on to serve and defend America."
(Inspiring people to support great things is a bad thing? What great things has McCain done for us? Obama and Biden aren’t able to be counted on to serve and defend America, though they have way more foreign policy experience than Palin? Give me a break!)
This woman has NO honor.
I am so proud to be a supporter of two honorable men (Obama-Biden).
I’m tired from a busy week already, and I was gonna pass on a door-knocking opportunity tomorrow, but Sarah Palin’s insults have changed my mind!
Watch out voters, here I come!
