I'm proud to say my Rep did the right thing and I told him so. Those of you lucky enough to have an intelligent Rep in your district might do the same and keep them propped for the fight yet to come.
Here's my quick note to Hank.
Hank,
We're proud of the stellar work you're doing for us and many thanks for voting against the "cash for trash" bill yesterday. The House "leadership" will continue to try to push through a bill that benefits Wall Street at the expense of working Americans and I hope you will continue to keep us in mind. I want a bill that enacts reform from the bottom up, that benefits all of us instead of from the top down, which benefits only those that led us to our present problems.
If liquidity's the problem, then let's charter a federal people's bank and fund it. If toxic paper's the problem, let's use the Swedish solution. If trade imbalance with China's the problem because of yuan valuation, then tax imports to achieve currency parity and start bringing jobs home. And let's not forget John Conyer's single payer health bill either.
That's what I mean about dealing with things from the bottom up.
Keep standing for us Hank, we're proud of you!
