I keep reading diaries this week repeating the fact that there will be additional Palin CBS interview tapes released (specifically Supreme Court Cases) or that Palin is a active proponent of Creationism in the schools.
As someone who is LOATHE to see this woman as the first Female Vice President, I'd love for these things to be true. But wishes don't make for reality.
In the very first diary I read on these Palin tapes there was a link to the source on Huff Post. Within that article was another link which lead to this...

(Emphasis mine)
In the end, it seems, there are no saved tapes. A spokesperson for CBS, says that the station has released all of the footage from last week's interview -- in which Palin provided increasingly unsteady answers to a series of foreign policy and economic questions.
And on the issue of Creationism, I can find nothing to verify she is willing to offer the Fundamentalists anything more than lip service..
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - As a candidate for governor, Sarah Palin called for teaching creationism alongside evolution in public schools. But after Alaska voters elected her, Palin, now Republican John McCain's presidential running mate, kept her campaign pledge to not push the idea in the schools.

You know, please, prove my diary wrong. I'd love it.
