I really think that Obama could have landed a knockout blow during the debate by doing one simple thing in response to the economic questions: Name his Treasury Secretary. This is the guy that's going to be in charge of this whole mess in four months, and suddenly it's a lot more important then it would have been. McCain would've been left stammering, flailing for an answer that would be anywhere near as specific... so who should it be?
Personally I'd like to see him name Warren Buffet. BAM. Game over, Obama Presidency ahoy! If Buffet can't figure out how to fix the mess, we're all screwed. There might be some problem with that choice now, especially in light of the Goldman Sachs purchase... but the only thing coming out of the debate would have been Obama's Secretary choice... So in the next debate I want Obama to name the guy (or girl), and I want that person out on every news show explaining Obamanomics (Actually that author might be a good choice...) every day until the election.
So who do you all think it should be? Who's the best financial mind to help pull us out of this pile of crap?
