Jesus. It comes once a year and what do you know it comes the same day every year. September 30th. Is that such a hard date to remember? No. But did you call me today, send me card, an e-card, hell, write on my facebook wall? No. Nada. Zilch. How could you?
Ok, I'm sorry for yelling. I've been kind of stressed. I've been helping out a friend of mine named Barry on this really important community project he's involved in. It's crunch time now and I guess the nerves are frayed on my end. So I'll be constructive and show you a few things you can do to make it up to me (and if you do any one of them, MAYBE I'll forgive you).
- DONATE. Donate donate donate. This is a very expensive endeavor Barry's got going. He has to advertise his cause, travel a lot to give it exposure, have all the pistons firing at 11. It's costly. If you could throw in some coins for Barry, it'd be greatly appreciated. I'll even make you a deal to show you that I forgive you: if 10 of you chip in, I'll throw in 50.
- MAKE SURE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE. Barry's project has placed him on the ballot in every state for the election in November. Yeah, there's an election in November, maybe you heard about that. You can't support Barry if you're not registered, so REGISTER. Once that's taken care of, maybe you can get your friends to register too (they might need some prodding if they're deadbeats like you. I STILL can't believe you forgot).
- BUY A SHIRT! Barry's selling shirts at a discounted price to raise awareness for his cause. Buy a shirt by midnight tonight, and you'll receive it by the 17th!
- SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT BARRY! You can knock on doors to tell other people how great Barry is by finding a volunteer office in your state HERE. If you prefer to make calls from your home, you can find out how to do that HERE.
You have 35 days to make it up to me. Trust me, you don't want to find yourself sitting alone on November 5 thinking to yourself "If only I had...."
