Obama has surpassed McCain in the latest Public Policy Polling Florida poll.

The crosstabs are very interesting and I'll go into more detail below the fold.
As is no surprise, the economy is the main driver of this increase. 64% of Floridians now list the economy as the major issue for them. Obama leads those individuals 55% to 40%. Also interesting is that Obama now leads Hispanics in Florida 50% to 46%. He is also leading among Independents by 8% whereas he was tied a few weeks ago with this group.
As Nate Silver mentioned last week, people are sticking to their choices now, much more than before the conventions and debate. 92% of those surveyed in Florida said that they are "firmly committed" to their choice.
All in all, great news for the Obama campaign, but by no means does this mean Florida is in the bag. Keep up the work and let's make sure we bring home Florida, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina on election day!
