Yep - going to have a real shot at Best Picture and more. I was just blown away by the trailer. It is as great as the buzz I heard since Spring. I was at the Harvey Milk Statue unveiling this Spring at the SF City Hall and was told that they were "rushing" to get this movie released just BEFORE the election. Hope that is this is still true. The trailer is AWESOME. OMG!

Here is the first video look at Gus Van Sant's "Milk." The film tells the story of California's first openly gay elected official, Harvey Milk (played by Sean Penn), a San Francisco supervisor who was assassinated. Out this November, it costars James Franco, Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsh and Diego Luna.

One cannot deny the political implications that the movie represents for California as the rest of this country.
The Anti-Marriage Prop will be defeated in November and this will only help the cause.
