Let me start with the obvious: Democrats talked about Health Care, Economy, Jobs and Energy TWICE as much as Republicans did. What a shock.
And yet what strikes me most is a rebuttal to Giuliani (sort of). In his horrible speech before Sarah Palin, he said that the Democratic Convention didn't talk about Islamic Terrorism, not even once. While he may be technically true (the word bubbles didn't list "Islamic" for either convention), he was basically wrong.
Democrats spoke of terrorism the exact same amount of times (8 - which means we spoke of it more since some of those GOP times were to blast Democrats for not talking about it).
Democrats spoke more often of 9/11 (and did so without the horrible video using the event for political purposes).
Democrats spoke more often of Iraq.
Democrats spoke more often of War.
What does this prove? That we know what America is facing, what problems America has to grapple with and that we're not backing down from a fight with the GOP or anyone else. The actual bubble graphic from the NYT:
One thing we didn't do enough was to hit the following chart harder. We need to tell everyone we can (door-to-door canvassing, letters to the editor, etc) about how Barack will tremendously lower taxes on the people making under 100,000 dollars while McCain gives the poorest of the poor a 19 dollar tax cut.
