This diary is inspired by a post from Daniel Larison, who writes:
I mean, how has no one made this point already? McCain provides the basic policy trajectory of a third Bush term, and Palin provides the biography of a folksy pro-life "reformer with results" governor of a large, oil-rich reliably Republican state in the West–it is pretty close to the Bush/Cheney ticket in reverse, isn’t it?
Isn't that the PERFECT point for Obama and Biden to make? All McCain and Palin have done is to reverse the Bush/Cheney ticket, and try to pitch it as something different.
Some of you may not recognize the "reformer with results" quote. That's the slogan Bush used in 2000 to tack around McCain. He basically suggested that McCain was a sham as a reformer, while Bush had gotten results. Sound familiar?
Fellow Kossacks, my friends, we've seen this movie before. Someone really needs to turn on the lights and expose the fraud that is McCain/Palin.
Please, Obama campaign staff, this is a softball for you guys to hit out of the park. It's the perfect angle to use against the McCain/Palin combo. They represent absolutely nothing new. It's the same wolf, with the sheep's clothing turned inside out.
