In the wrong endzone.
Lots of sports analogies are going around. Hoops, hunting, football. Its NFL season so, lets talk about it in terms us football fans can relate to.
Sarah Palin scored a touch down. BUt she ran into the wrong endzone.
She's the player who might pick up a fumble late in the gamel, but carry it into the wrong endzone. Why? Because the endzone look too similar and she's never played the game before.
After all, she's not just the walk on, she was admitted without taking the SATs to college.
And then transferred , and then transferred, and then.....transferrred....and transferred again....and umm.....
You see what I mean.
Palin is new to this game of national football, and when she'll have to do some fast thinking on her own feet, without the coach's guidance, when the offensive lineman misses the block or the full back falls down in front of her, she'll be the running back looking up at the sky, and wondering why everyone else screwed up.
Palin can no more do national politics, than any one in her circumstances could. Look at her history.
She is no Goeorge Bush, the inheritor of a political dynasty, she is no ronald reagan, the actor with great broad mass appeal.
she's an alsakan. an outcast to the lower 48 states. a mother of five children who screwed up royally with her oldest daughter.
a governor with a record that screams for permanent sealing so that noone might discover the truth about it.
a knowledge of the world that grade schoolers in the northeast might find wanting.
and a husband who has scandal written all over him. AN AIP sympathiser.
She cannot stand to the heat.
It took the republicans LOTS of grooming before Goerge W Bush was able to do it in 2000.
They have no time.
She cannot be ready.
SHe will whither once she comes into the American sunlight, out of the Alaskan wilderness.
And , Oh my, it will be a sight to behold!
For there is no greater pleasure than seeing corruption, narrowmindedness, ephemeral superficial callous beauty , whither to reveal the stench that lies beneath , so that all the public may see.
