I wanted to get some biographical information out to more people because Senator McCain himself told us last week how after his imprisonment he became America's servant. During that week, the RNC relentlessly focused on John McCain's biography in an attempt to create a cult of personality around the "Maverick". Conspicuously absent from his biography was how he returned home from war to find his wife disfigured from a car accident and promptly began running around on her.
I'm still at a loss to understand how Michelle Obama is unpatriotic for committing a gaffe but Todd Palin is patriotic because he was a member of a secessionist group, but now we're told to accept that John McCain is a man of character and principle. He has so much character that his former wife explains his infidelity by saying, "My marriage ended because John McCain didn’t want to be 40, he wanted to be 25. You know that happens...it just does."
I understand, John. You were a war hero, and deserved to live the hero's life. You missed out on all the hookers in Saigon, so you wanted to go out and bag "Marie, the Flame of Florida", but you had this terrible impediment, namely your disabled wife, Carol. But you did the right thing, didn't you John? You went out and found an heiress who could give you the means to permanently cover Carol's medical bills, ensuring she would stay out of the way of your ambition. That certainly reflects most Americans' ideas of small town values, doesn't it?
I guess being America's servant demands a massive inheritance in your bank account and a trophy wife by your side. Besides, you can always make advocates of special needs/disabled Americans forget your own betrayal of a disabled spouse by picking a MILF with a special needs infant she's still breast feeding as your VP. See, America, small town family values!
