This simply can't be true. I find it virtually impossible to believe that there's really been a 20 point shift in the direction of white women concerning their choice between Obama and McCain.
I'm trying to contact the Ministry of Truth on this one. If this is true, this would truly be a "crime against logic."
My fellow female Americans....explain this to me...
I'm trying to come to grips with the fact that the overwhelming majority of white women would simply vote for McCain for the fact that he picked a fellow white woman to be his running mate?
Now, the Obama campaign vehemently denies the 20 point swing stating they haven't seen this in their internal tracking polls....but, they don't deny there has been a shift in the preference of white women since the Palin pick.
Call me crazy, but, does having the same anatomy as someone automatically make you want to vote for them?
Of course, I can't know what its like to be in a situation like that, but, call me crazy again, I'm pretty sure we're supposed to vote on the issues.
This logic makes no sense to me...
Is a woman...good
Is against choice...bad
Doesn't believe that global warming is real...bad
Believes in creationism....bad
Doesn't believe in abortion even in the case of rape...bad
Has never hard foreign policy experience...bad
Has no stance on any of the major issues facing our country...bad
Husband was a secessionist...bad
Doesn't support health care reform...bad
Doesn't support unions....bad
Let me add up the scorecard here.
Good: 1
Bad: 9
Therefore, because I don't agree with her on almost everything, I will vote for her.
I mean call me crazy for a third time, but this logic makes no sense. I can't believe this Hillary Clinton backlash still exists. I gave money to her campaign. I voted for her. Now, I've given money to the Obama campaign and I can't wait to vote for him.
This maddening psychosis of not picking Hillary Clinton can't be real still, can it?
All of these disaffected Hillary supporters would gladly hand over their reproductive rights and give up everything they fundamentally are in lock-step agreement with Hillary's issues, will gladly vote against them to vote for a woman whom they share nothing in common with?
Is that the only criteria? Woman first, what they stand for second?
I don't believe that. I refuse to believe that.
Ladies, help me out here please.
I need to understand the logic of voting against self interest to support someone with the same body parts as me.
If you had a say in the Obama campaign, as a woman, what would be your advice to re-woo these white woman voters.
