Helping to cement the wedge that President Obama drove between the Republican Party and the American center this week, John McCain has chosen sides. The failed presidential candidate wants us to know:
Mr. Limbaugh is a voice of a significant portion of our conservative movement in America. He has a very wide viewing audience. He is entitled to his views, and he has a lot of people who listen very carefully to him. I don’t know why that the President would take him on. He’s part of the political landscape, and he plays a role.
.
Yes, I can't imagine why President Obama would have chosen to pick on Rush. Surely it has nothing to do with the predictable stampede by GOP leaders to defend and elevate a racist, hateful, has-been talk show host who wants America to fail.
And McCain, perhaps the most high-profile Republican in Washington, is certainly playing his part in the continued implosion of the GOP brand.
Yes, John, we understand. Rush Limbaugh is the voice of the conservative movement. Got it. The conservative movement and the Republican Party want Obama to fail. They want America to descend into complete financial ruin.
Sing it from the rooftops, my friends. Rush is your leader! Will y'all rally behind Sean Hannity if Obama mentions his name too?
