I remember Ronald Reagan railing against "welfare queens" who did not deserve the country's financial help because they were unwilling to provide for themselves.
Now we have welfare banks: the investment banks living off of American taxpayer largesse, paying billions of taxpayer money in bonuses to their employees; using taxpayer money to party at the Superbowl; vacationing in ritzy spas on taxpayer money. I read one quote from a Wall Street welfare recipient who said he felt his bonus was more like a doorman's tip.
Well, that tipped me over the edge. I want accountability. Without it, no more money. And I want those bonuses, those "doorman tips" back.
Just send me a check.
