I keep hearing this, but is it true, or is it BS? I have accounts on both, but I never use/check them because I find them a waste of my time.
However, I'm hearing that for people in their 20's, the GOP is pushing back on healthcare reform very effectively by using lies and propaganda on social networking sites and Twitter. The same goes for Glenn Beck: I'm hearing that he's got a huge fan base with college students.
Now, I find it very hard to believe that all these young people who got Obama elected have all of a sudden become Glenn Beck fans and rabid anti-reform activists, but I'm a little nervous.
Is anyone out there seeing evidence that the GOP is dominating Twitter? Is this having an effect? Are 20somethings really veering into Glenn Beck fandom after getting Obama elected?
I think that maybe we should be adding those components to the action diaries. I'd like instructions on how to start smacking down the propaganda on Facebook and Twitter, as well as effective strategies for pushing the truth in support of healthcare reform.
Suggestions?
