Forgive me if this has already been brought to everyone’s attention, but I didn’t see a diary about it, so...
On September 8th, the President is scheduled to speak to the nations' school children (see info) and the wingnuts are screaming about it.
More after the fold...
The president wants to talk to America's kids about the importance of setting educational goals and taking personal responsibility in school.
But conservative voices across the country are labeling Tuesday's address inappropriate "indoctrination," and some are going so far as to suggest that parents hold their kids out of school.
***
The speech has lit up talk radio with allegations that the Obama administration is trying to inappropriately politicize public schools. Locally, talker Mark Davis suggested Tuesday might be a good day to be sick.

Please join me in posting to the comments of this article with a little common sense to counter the crazies.
These people need to be labeled for what they are, paranoid extremists. Are they really that afraid of their children being encouraged to succeed in school? Do they really believe President Obama is out to "indoctrinate" school children? Indoctrinate in what? Common sense? Heaven forbid! I'm aware that some of these folks see "stupid" as coveted character trait, and I know these whack jobs have said and done some crazy thing before, but, honestly, I’m speechless. (Thus, the short diary!)
I’d also be very interested in hearing what this community thinks of this.
