No longer will we have "43" at whitehouse.gov - there is a new era on the web, and its home page is http://www.whitehouse.gov . One of the best things about it?
The ethics section.
ETA: Thanks to all who recommended this! And so many thanks to the hard-working programmers, coders and writers who put the site together and got it online so rapidly!
I'm making my first pass around the website now and it's lovely. I'll update this as I find more joy and nuance on its pages, but it is live and it marks the moment when CHANGE came to this country and the world.
One of the most important things on the page is the pledge you may see on the first page.
Whitehouse.gov will be a central part of President Obama's pledge to make his the most transparent and accountable administration in American history.
There is a blog component at http://www.whitehouse.gov/... but I can't find a specific link for an RSS feed. ETA thanks to those who let me know - the feed is at http://www.whitehouse.gov/...
VoteForAmerica put a list of the various RSS feeds here. Thanks, VFA!
There is a Contact Us page here with a form, and the Operator information, as well as the address and a note about sending Things (Don't Do It because the screening process may destroy it).
Ethics gets its own section:
President Obama led efforts to reform government both in the Illinois State Senate and in the United States Senate. He brings this commitment to making government work for the people, not the special interests, to the White House. President Obama will ensure Washington works for the people, not the special interests.
Not only does President Barack Obama (oh, I love writing that!) pledge to shine the light on government and bring Americans back into their government, he also pledges to "Spend Taxpayer Money Wisely".
What a team!
The IP lawyer side of me wants to make a particular note of the copyright information page:

Hopefully they will shortly add a link to the page that hosts the 3.0 License so people explicitly and clearly know the type of license they are granting to the government for anything they post on the site.
