I ran into this clip this morning. In honor of the new Kos poll which show Obama with a 88-8 approval rating in the NE, I thought I'd give a glimpse of who those 8% are!

[UPDATE BELOW] At at a time when any decent baker should have been selling racially harmonious black and white cookies by the truckload, one Greenwich Village bakery popular with celebrities and shows like Sex and the City has outraged neighbors by selling a "Drunken Negro Face" cookie in, um, "honor" of President Obama. [Video below.] A shocked customer tells My Fox NY that Ted Kefalinos, proprietor of Lafayette French Pastry, asked her, "Would you like some drunken negro heads to go with your coffee? They're in honor of our new president. He's following in the same path of Abraham Lincoln; he will get his."
So Obama's presidency is bringing the crazies, loons, racists out of their caves. It's actually a good thing. I probably would have patronized this place but now Obama's ascendance has shown us all his true colors. I doubt he has a business in a few months.
I do hope the SS investigates these allegations that he said Obama would follow in "Lincoln's footsteps" hint, hint. This guy doesn't have the mental capacity to outthink the SS and hurt Obama. But just imagine the kind of hate this perpetuates. That cookie embodies how racism was promoted throughout history in this country. That distorted, brown, ugly face is how Blacks were portrayed in pictures, movies, books. How could something like that be like us? But that is not Obama and that is not me or any other African-American I know. That is an image from the damaged psyche of a racist baker. But read to how the baker defends himself against racism charges:
Also, Kefalinos insists he can't be racist because, for one thing, "my brother-in-law, he's Cuban."
At first I didn't think the "Hall of Shame" was enough but what else could you feel for him after such a beautiful week. Although Lafayette French Pastry has stopped making the cookies be sure to tell your friends to get their pan au chocolat from another establishment.
