Many of you may already be aware that some of the most wonderful words ever printed appeared in the New York Times today:
This is William Kristol’s last column.
I practically jumped for joy when I heard the news. Ding Dong! The witch is dead!
or so I assumed....
What goes up must come down, I suppose.
Dan Savage has alerted us that what The Washingon Post decided that they need to pick up the New York Times' garbage.
I don't get it. Bill Kristol makes his living by using his other outlets (FOX News, The Weekly Standard) to repeatedly criticize "liberal media" like the Times and the Post and yet each of those publications decided that they need to give him a job. It was evident from the very beginning that the NY Times had made a mistake when his first column there had to be corrected to due factual errors. It wasn't the last time. The Post should have learned a lesson from the Times' mistake.
This is a man who stated the following back in December, 2006:
If [Hillary Clinton] gets a race against John Edwards and Barack Obama, she's going to be the nominee. Gore is the only threat to her ... Barack Obama is not going to beat Hillary Clinton in a single democratic primary. I'll predict that right now,
This is a man who promoted the idea of Vice President Palin before most of the country had ever heard of her. That turned out well didn't it? Bill Kristol is famously wrong about everything. There is no pundit out there whom I detest more. Remember the Project for a New American Century? Kristol's baby.
So fuck you, Washington Post. People are losing their jobs all over the country. Newspapers are struggling to get by and you decide to give a job to a man who doesn't need one, doesn't deserve one and will probably herald your own demise faster than previously expected.
Thanks, thanks a lot. Assholes.
