I'm in the Bay Area, and listen most of the time to Green 960 (KKGN), a Clear Channel station that runs a mix of syndicated progressive talkers as well as local content. Saturday afternoons, I'll power up the computer and stream KTLK 1150 (also Clear Channel) in Los Angeles so I can hear Frangela (regular guests on the Stephanie Miller show) on their two-hour program.
Today is Saturday, and all I can hear on the KTLK stream is music, commercials, and no live talent. My wife tried calling the station's business line for any outgoing message and got a recording saying the line was disconnected.
Any LA Kossacks know if KTLK is dropping the Progressive Talk format or what's going on over there? Is this related to the layoffs Clear Channel did on January 20th? And, what worries me most, are stations featuring progressive talkers being targeted for layoffs?
