[I'm managing editor at Change.org]
There's been a ton of activity on our Ideas for Change in America competition -- in which the public could post an "idea" to the Obama Administration and vote on their favorites -- with more than 300,000 votes and counting.
The competition just entered its second round, and top three ideas in each category are now up for voting - the top 10 overall ideas will be presented to the Obama Administration at an event with the Case Foundation next Friday, Jan. 16th.
After that, we at Change.org will be working with our partner nonprofits (more than 3500 have profiles on our site), advocacy groups, and activists to building movements around each of the winning ideas. You'll have a chance to get on board these movements by endorsing ideas.
We just introduced the ability for blogs and nonprofits to "endorse" ideas, which means they can align themselves with an idea by adding their name to the page. We think it's a great way to get like-minded folks on board with these ideas that very well might become actual campaigns.
Go to the Ideas site to vote, and to endorse ideas.
You can endorse right from the page, clicking the link off to the right (let me know if you'd like some help). This is a great way to get on board what could be a pretty big movement over the next year.
