I'm sitting here, killing time at work (hey! I'm waiting for my website to sync in Dreamweaver. It takes for-ev-er), and decided to check out the 2008 Weblog Awards. Imagine my surprise to see that Daily Kos was up for Best Blog as well as Best Political Coverage (strangely enough, not Best Liberal Blog or Best Online Community. What's up with THAT?).
I haven't seen the 2008 Weblog Awards pimped by anyone, which probably why we're so far behind other blogs, so go there and VOTE! You can vote once per day and you don't need to register.
As of 2:30 PM PST on January 9, 2009, here are the results:
Here're the standings for Best Political Coverage:
Well, so we're not up forBest Liberal Blog, so who is?
And just for curiosity's sake, I took a gander at who was up for Best Conservative Blog. Strangely enough, our pals over at Freeperville are nowhere to be seen...
I've never heard of the top four blogs on that list, Ace of Spades, small dead animals, Little Green Footballs, or Atlas Shrugs. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, as I don't get out much into that part of the blogosphere, but... seriously? Red State is getting hammered!
Anyway, I'm gonna go vote for a few more blogs, as my background processes still have no end in sight.
Vote for Daily Kos!!! Best Blog and Best Political Coverage
