The Republican Party in Connecticut is posing as Democrats on Twitter in an attempt to fool voters. What's worse is that they have refused to stop according to Chris Healy, Chairman of the Conn. Republican Party.
They didn’t think of it first, so that’s why they’re whining.
This is outrageous, and I would like to thank Twitter for suspending the offending accounts. I found this article buried on Huffington Post on the bottom of the Politics page. I suppose it wasn't featured more prominently because of it's local nature, but it is symptomatic of the depths to which the Republican Party will stoop to dupe voters into supporting them.
These tactics bring to mind George W. Bush's campaigns for president, when John McCain was lied right out of the primaries with push-polling tactics and John Kerry was "Swift-boated" into oblivion. The worst part of this though is that having been confronted with proof of their scurrilous doings, the Republicans laugh and accuse the Democrats of "whining". Persons in elevated positions like State Party Chairman and State Party Treasurer should be held to a higher standard, but instead they stoop below the standard of common decency in misrepresenting themselves as the opposition party (who people actually like and identify with). These wolves in sheeps' clothing need to be reprimanded, not just by Twitter, but by the RNC and Attorney General of Connecticut (if any election laws have been broken).
Seeing this kind of s--- again really pissed me off...and I was having a good day.
