We don't own the nation just because our party won back the White House.
I really do not care for the hateful tone of some of the diaries here lately. Some of you sound just exactly like they did over the last eight sorry years, I am sad to say. They wasted a lot of breath telling us to leave the country, too. Why didn't we do it? Because it is also our country. It's theirs, too. Our job is to change things so that we can all get along, not promote more stupidity and blind hatred ...
p.s. In case you care about electoral politics at all, fomenting this kind of divisiveness only strengthens their chances at the polls. You saw what it did to us ... where do you think all this "take back our country" stuff comes from?
When instead you could be taking a page from the president and never giving up until we find common ground. Insist on civility until we get it. And work to make a better future for EVERYONE, not just progressives. I fail to see how you can have THIS president in front of you, a man of truly sterling character whom we all worked so hard to elect, without wishing to follow his example.
How about we all go write some letters to the editor, work on something positive.
