AT LAST! We got our song opening! Tonight's scheduled guests are Rachel Bilson and Jeff Dunham.
People often ask me, "Grapie, how can I, living as I do, among the cornfields and rusting factories, live the lush life? Don't I need to live among the beautiful people on Ibiza?"
Au contraire, Pierre! All you need is a well stocked liquor cabinet and a good bartenders' reference book. (Download one off the internet, if you must.) Then every day mix yourself a pitcher of some exotic drink and spend the afternoon drinking it down. If you keep this up, you'll find yourself living the "lush" life in no time at all.
"But, Grapie," they say. "Wouldn't that be detrimental to my health and sanity?"
Well, there's no doubt that this would require the sacrifice of your liver, at the very least. Most people find, however, that you can't have everything. Remember, any worthwhile goal requires a single minded pursuit.
There are other options, too. You could simply mix up a daily pitcher of some colored seltzer water, and then pretend to be sozzled while drinking that all day. Granted, you would only be living a sort of ersatz "lush" life, but Dean Martin made a pretty good second career out of this. This would be much easier on your liver and your brain. Plus, you can keep your sex drive intact, which is an added bonus.
Whichever path you pursue to achieving the "lush" life, your boss at work may not be amused. He or she may not "get" it. But really, is your boss amused by anything you do?
Now, here's the opening form last night's Late Late Show:

Ordinarily, I'm a straight female, but I think that black chick is hot enough to make me switch.
