As a service to the "I'm More Progressive than Thous", I've created this handy diary template for use when the very thought of forming coalitions in actually governing and passing legislation makes it difficult to form words.
Please feel free to paste it and fill in the blanks where needed. It is sure to wind up on the rec list in at least 4 separate iterations.
I can't believe that {insert name of Obama, the Democratic Party, blue dog Dems or individual members of Congress or the Senate here} is doing this to us. I've been following {name of issue} closely for the past {insert span of decades}, and am part of a vital, must win constituency for {insert Obama, Democratic Party, name of individual candidate}.
In other words,{insert Obama, Democratic Party, name of individual candidate} cannot win without the {insert name of issue} community, and we've been abandoned!
{Insert name of Obama, the Democratic Party, blue dog Dems or individual members of Congress or the Senate here} better not cave in to the {insert pejorative name for the 30-55% of the general voting populace which has deep antipathy for or some serious reservations regarding the advocate's favored position}, because I'm right and they're wrong, and I'm sick of wasting my time changing their minds! After all - we won in 2008, and I think that we should suddenly flip the last 30 years of government policy overnight!
Boycott the election and let {insert name of Obama, the Democratic Party, blue dog Dems or individual members of Congress or the Senate here} lose if I can't have my way and a pretty pony!
Signed,
Enraged
