This is stunning.

Sarah Palin's publishing and political worlds in collision

Time is the most valuable commodity on a campaign and you just can't waste it thinking about how to choose your words carefully or get your job done more diplomatically. If someone isn't in tears every day, that day wasn't all it could be advancing the campaign. I once witnessed an experienced (big) man slap a professional female colleague across the face over an ad buy... and no one thought anything of it, starting with the woman. In fact, she would have been insulted if anyone told her she should have been insulted.
This is assault, a crime. A large man slapping a woman. During a republican campaign. A campaign!
I dunno what to say beyond Holy Sh_t! She thinks nothing is wrong. This is her normal.
As far as I'm concerned, she has admitted to witnessing an assault. This fellow could be abusing other women.
I also find it disturbing that she said the victim and other witnesses thought nothing of it. Does this indicate that the culture of Republicanism includes an acceptance of lower status of women, to the point that their abuse and assault is taken for granted?
Mary Matalin is protecting a criminal.
