OK guys. Now's your chance to show off your psychic skills.
Guess the numbers for each candidate. These are the FINAL numbers, not the initial vote.
As a tie-breaker, guess the turnout.
The winner will be decided by the following formula (unless someone has a better idea):
Make people predict the percentage score for every candidate. Then take the absolute value of the actual result minus the prediction (the difference) and add all of the differences together. Then the winner is the person with the smallest number.
Everyone can tally their own results, and post them in a followup post. I don't think any one person wants to sift through hundreds of predictions to find the winner.
The winner of each contest, starting with Iowa, will get a set of limited-edition 2004 Democratic Presidential candidates button set from Pop Art Politics.
The contest will run until we have a nominee. The overall winner will get a cool prize -- an autographed keepsake from our eventual nominee. (I'm sure our nominee will oblige.)
Now for my prediction, which is nothing more than pulling numbers from my you-know-where:
Dean 33
Gephardt 29
Kerry 20
Edwards 14
Turnout: a whopping record-shattering 11 percent.
Incidentally, give Kossack Noah of Pop Art Politics some love. His pins are quote cool.
Update: Every comment that is not a prediction will be deleted. This is one thread I want to keep on topic, lest it devolve into another flame war.
