Update: Politico has more or less called it for Owens, and there is claims that Hoffman has conceited, so it's final: Owens has won the Congressional seat for the 23rd District of New York!!!! Take that one Tea-Baggers!!
Update: Politico has not called the race for NY-23, but I don't see any major upsets coming, so I am personally calling NY-23 for Owens. There are 85.3% of the precincts in, and he is up 49.0% to 45.4%. So as far as I am concerned , Owens has won NY-23!!!!
Update: NYC Mayor goes to Bloomberg (R-I).
The early reports from the two major elections from New York, show some promise for the more or less infamous NY-23 vote, and what has become a big shock in the race for the Mayor of the city.
NY Mayor:
Politico has not called the race, with 17.2% of the precincts reporting.
They have it as (At 9:48 pm EST)
NYC Mayor
17.2% Precincts reported
Bloomberg (R-I) 49.2%
Thompson (D) 47.7%
MSNBC on the other hand, had called the race for Bloomberg, but had to quickly pull that call, after a huge jump for Thompson.
The Results (At 9:50 PM EST)
NYC Mayor
21% of the precincts reported
Bloomberg (I) 49%
Thompson (D) 48%

NY-23:
Politico has this one running very close (As many had imagined it will)

The race for the Mayor of NYC has seemingly been won by Bloomberg. Politico has not called it yet, but:

At 10:49 PM EST. Politico has called the race for the Mayor of NYC, for Bloomberg.
With 50.4% of the vote, with 95.1% of the precincts in.

No point in reporting Scozzafava's numbers.
Update #6:
The numbers haven't changed in the NY-23 race, but with more and more precincts coming in, it is seeming more and more like the tea-bagger just wasn't tea-bagging enough to win.
