Yesterday, a person going under the screen-name of Laughing Planet made the following assertion:
Vandalism is not violence.
I figured that this is one of those basic existential propositions that needs a poll, so before that, let's do a senario testing this, and then have a poll.
Before we start, I'm not advocating anyone doing this, nor would I support anyone, much less myself, doing so.
angered by the fact that Christopher Day, Derfel and The Narrative HR'd the tip jar of my last diary, I, foul villain that I am, drive over to their stately homes, and making sure that neither they nor their families are there (me being a liberal and all), proceed to break in, trash the places, and blow up their Ferraris with a bazooka.
I would say that I, the despicable me, have committed acts of violence against these people, even though no one actually got physically hurt.
Laughing Planet would not, having made the following assertion:
Vandalism is not violence.
So now for the poll. Who's right, me or Laughing Planet?
