We have a son today!

So, many of you know that Casa Brillig has been on an adoption journey for a while now. I have regaled you with stories of submitting the dossier, and of receiving our referral for a little boy in Ethiopia.

I realize this is a short diary, but I hope the dKos diary police will forgive me....

Today we learned we passed court!! What that means, in the language of the email that informed us of this, is as follows:

We are thrilled to be able to share with your family that your case has been approved in court! With the approval from the Ethiopian courts, this means that your adoption is full and final in Ethiopia and you are now the legal parents of your child.  This is quite a milestone in your adoption journey.  We encourage you to take a moment to celebrate this good news!!

So... Casa Brillig is absolutely thrilled to welcome Kid BrilligTwo into the family, and will be traveling sometime in the next month to get him!

UPDATE: Thank you from the depths of my heart and soul to each and every one of you. I feel like we'll have you all flying with us to go get him, and promise to share all of our journey that we can with you.
